Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.

Syre is now looking for a Senior Energy & Utilities Manager in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. This person will be a key player in our Vietnamese establishment, and will be responsible for setting and driving the Green Energy strategy with Vietnamese energy providers, EVN and industrial park. This includes setting the energy strategy, commercial and technical requirements towards the different stakeholders and lead the contract negotiations with multiple stakeholders. It also includes defining the most effective cost model for Syre energy consumption and ensuring the energy model and cost fulfils business and bankability requirements. Key tasks and responsibilities

• Define Syre's long-term strategy for energy- & utilities needs including Energy & Utilities Master Plan.

• Analyze technical solutions and recommend the best approach for cost, performance and scalability.

• Act as system owner for power, grid connection, cooling, steam/boilers, compressed air, gas, water and wastewater.

• Set technical requirements, capacities and performance criteria.

• Review energy supplier technical readiness, delivery plans and infrastructure development.

• Understand and evaluate DPPA/VDPPA models and their technical, regulatory and operational implications.

• Define Syre electricity supply structure, assessing infrastructure needs, power quality, stability, risks and timelines.

• Work closely with Engineering, Construction, Procurement, Sustainability, Finance and project management teams.

• Review external partners investment plans, delivery schedules and technical compliance to ensure alignment with Syre master schedule.

• Build strong internal and external relationships to support energy & utility delivery.

We would prefer if you

• Hold a Bachelor- or Master degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field.

• Have 10–15+ years of experience in renewable energy, utilities, power projects, or commercial energy & utility procurement.

• Have experience collaborating with developers, consultants, and government stakeholders.

• Hold the ability to translate technical requirements into clear commercial decisions.

• Have experience in working in project expansion environment and leading large industrial expansion

• Have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; capable of conducting scenario and risk analysis.

• Have excellent communication skills in English and Vietnamese (both written & verbal).

• Have proven stakeholder management experience across engineering, procurement, sustainability, legal, finance, and external partners.

• Are comfortable managing complex work streams in a fast-moving environment.

• Have understanding of emerging market regulations in Vietnam.

• Hold a start-up/scale-up mindset: Being adaptable, proactive, structured, and solution-oriented.

• Have high ownership of deliverables with strong organizational and timeline management skills.
