Feedstock Director
Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.
Our permanent Feedstock Team Lead is on parental leave during the year of 2026, and for this period Syre is now seeking a strong and experienced leader to drive the Feedstock strategy, key partnership dialogues and team, in line with overall objectives and company direction. In 2027 our permanent Team Lead will be back at the office but for the right person, we’re confident that there will be other important projects and areas to own – and therefore, we’re looking for someone with long term commitment.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop the Feedstock team, fostering a high-performance, collaborative culture in line with Syre’s people guidance, and deliver on key milestones
- Responsible for developing, managing, and scaling strategic partnerships that secure access to high-quality feedstock supply in line with the company’s feedstock specifications, timelines and targets. The feedstock supply chain is largelyunder-developed, so this will require extensive ground-up development and testing / piloting of different solutions
- Develop and implement a long-term roadmap for feedstock sourcing, aligned with business objectives and regional targets
- Lead the negotiating and securing of partnership agreements, including due diligence on ESG issues in co-operation with Syre’s sustainability team
- Lead the development of sourcing contracts, balancing project financing requirements, and dealing with financiers
- Oversee the monitoring and reporting of feedstock flows, supplier performance, and partnership impact
- Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, commercial, operations, and sustainability teams to integrate feedstock strategies into the broader business
- Represent the organization at industry forums, conferences, and consortiums
We would prefer if you have
- Proven track record (10+ years) in partnerships, sourcing, or supply chain roles, ideally in textiles, recycling, or circular materials (not a requirement, but a strong plus)
- Strong understanding of textile value chains, recycling methods, and sustainability standards (knowledge of the regulatory landscape a plus)
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain high-value partnerships, preferably in the textile value chain
- Leadership experience (5+ years) of managing small-to-mid sized teams internationally, with strong coaching and people development skills, and the ability to lead in the change and speed needed of a scale-up environment
- Experienced negotiator of strategic contracts, with strong analytical skills and commercial mindset
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Impact-oriented with a strong drive to get things done and optimize for speed -a sleeves-rolled-up, solution and results-based approach
- Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required)
You will be reporting to the COO and should be located in Stockholm, Sweden.
