Pilot Line Shift Lead
Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.
Are you a skilled operator with strong experiences working in chemical, manufacturing environments? Are you excited by the thought of putting your skills to use, to make ta valuable impact on the environment? Then this might be the opportunity for you! Syre is now looking for not one, but two (!) Pilot Line Shift Leads.
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Collaborate with Talent Acquisition to hire top talent operators for our Pilot Line.
- Being a present shift leader, making sure that the team of Pilot Line Operators thrive, develop and deliver on key operational metrics.
- Coordinate with colleagues to organize line workload and staffing, depending on product priority.
- Establish clear measurable goals and objectives by which to determine individual and team results (i.e. operational metrics, results against project timelines, training documentation, attendance records, knowledge of operational roles and responsibilities, personal development goals).
- Be a hands-on contributor on the shift and lead by example in both deliverables and being a safety champion; “walk the talk”.
- Be proactive, and constantly seeking for operational excellence by offering new ideas and suggestions for improvement (and then make sure to be ready to implement!).
- Plan shift activities, and develop/maintain shift reports/records.
We would prefer if you have/are
- Hands on experience in a manufacturing environment.
- A strong focus on being Safety oriented- and driven, always making sure to comply and follow all procedures within the company security policy.
- An excellent team collaborator, with strong communicating skills.
- A strive for continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility.
- Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills.
- Thorough in meeting deadlines and schedules.
- The ability to work with a flexible schedule to meet Pilot line needs, being open to adapt to working hours and/or working days, when needed.
- A background in the textiles industry are a big plus!
- Fluency in English both orally and in writing (professional English required).
You will be reporting to the Pilot Line Operations Lead and should be located nearby Mebane, North Carolina.
