Team Assistant & Office Manager
Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.
Syre is growing globally and with more people joining our team based in the US, Syre is now looking for a Team Assistant & Office Manager to support and accelerate our US office in Mebane, North Carolina. Key tasks and responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the US office;
- Collaborate closely with the Swedish Senior EA, to create as many synergies as possible across our offices
- Evaluate and assist in developing office policies and procedures for improved workflow
- Assist in the selection of American vendors and purchase equipment, services, and supplies necessary for the operation of the organization
- Anticipate future needs as the organization grows
- Be our external main face of the US office and the first point of contact for visitors
- Manage internal information flow in a timely and accurate manner
- Provide overall executive support to the leadership team, with an extra focus on our CTO and CCO
- Assist in the coordination of internal and external events; from executive team meetings and offsite events to assisting with customer meetings as needed
- Handle incoming emails, make sure invoices other finance-related items are handled correctly
- Support with orders, and HR/People related admin topics
- Contact with finance/procurement to help the organization follow guidelines
- Project lead the move of our new US office
- Other projects/duties as assigned for the overall benefit of the organization
We would prefer if you
- Have experience in administrative or office management roles
- Have experience in supporting senior executives
- Master office software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Have the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Have a strong attention to detail
- Have a service minded can-do attitude, with the ability to think outside the box
- Have excellent written and verbal communication skills, both internally as well as externally
- Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required)
You will be reporting to the CTO and should be located in North Carolina, USA.
