Textile waste is a growing global challenge. Syre’s mission is to decarbonize and dewaste textiles, starting with the world's biggest fiber, polyester. By implementing true textile-to-textile recycling at hyperscale, we want to drive the transition from a linear to a circular value chain by putting textile waste to use, over and over again.

As a HR Director at Syre you will have a crucial impact on all HR and Talent related topics globally. In this role you will report to the CHRO.

Key tasks and responsibilities

• Develop and implement global HR strategies that support the company’s mission, vision, and long-term objectives.
• Provide expert advice and guidance to the executive team and organization overall on HR-related matters.
• Oversee all HR functions including people operations, talent acquisition, development, retention, employee relations, compensation and benefits, performance management, compliance with employment laws across regions.
• Ensure HR policies and procedures are consistent, fair, and legally compliant in all operating countries.
• Develop and implement global talent management programs to identify, develop, and retain high-potential employees + oversee succession planning.
• Foster a high-performance culture that encourages continuous improvement, learning, and development.
• Develop and implement DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) strategies to create an inclusive workplace and employee engagement.
• Lead HR aspects of organizational change initiatives, including mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring.
• Develop and oversee policies and programs to mitigate HR-related risks.
• Leverage HR technology and data analytics to drive HR strategy and decision- making.

Key Qualifications

• Senior international profile with proven experience in managing global HR operations and leading cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Impact-oriented with a strong drive to get things done, deliver results, and optimize for speed globally (= start-up experience and mentality).
• Strong understanding of international labor laws and HR best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to drive organizational progression/change and build a positive, inclusive workplace culture - preferable in a scale-up environment.
• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with HR technology and data analytics.
• High ambitions with a constant drive for excellence, daring to challenge the status quo. 
• Purpose-driven mentality, with a clear mission and passion for driving environmental change.
• Ability to travel internationally if required.

We would prefer if you

• Have experience from a truly global HR organization covering all aspects of HR related topics.
• Are fluent in English both orally and in writing (professional English required).
